Be a part of something larger than yourself while serving your community. The Arizona Department of Public Safety is holding several open testing days in November and December of 2025 to test for the position of State Trooper. The written and physical tests will be held in Phoenix in November & December of 2025. Phoenix location testing will be on November 6, 17, or 22 and in December on the 4,15, or 20th. There are several dates in November and December for testing in Tucson, Sierra Vista, Kingman and Yuma.

The Duluth Police Department is hiring lateral patrol officers for their police department on a continuous basis. If you've been a police officer for at least three years and have a POST license in good standing, or are eligible for POST, you can apply to join our team at any time. During the hiring process, lateral officers are able to begin at the Chief's Interview phase of the three-month hiring process. This is shorter than the five-month process new recruits go through. Depending on officers' prior experience, Lateral Officers may go through a shorter academy and Field-Training Officer Program.

The Minneapolis Police Department is currently hiring Lateral Police Officers on an ongoing basis. Officers hired in this lateral hiring process will participate in a one-month orientation and on-boarding process rather than the Minneapolis Police Recruit Officer Academy. After successful completion of orientation, Officers will then participate in a three-month FTO, with the potential of an extension if needed.

The Minneapolis Park Police is hiring cadets for their upcoming academy. Park Police Officers are licensed as peace officers by the State of Minnesota. They are responsible for patrolling parklands, responding to calls for service, enforcing laws and ordinances, working with and supporting MPRB field staff, and all other duties inherent to their mission. Park Police Officers are divided between two shifts (day-watch hours are 7am to 4pm and mid-watch hours are 4pm – 1am). Park Police Officers have policing authority across the City of Minneapolis, as well as in MPRB parklands located outside the city limits.
Police Cadet candidates will attend and successfully complete a program in law enforcement at a department-authorized institution for the purpose of meeting the academic and technical skills requirements of the Minnesota Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) Board. Upon successful completion of all required training, the Police Cadet, Parks will transition into the position of Police Officer, Parks.
